Where is the Longshot Mag Remote Office?
Work is more fun with friends. Certainly when you stay up all night to do it. That’s one of the keys we took away from issue zero. We’re confident we’ll find that to be true again in Los Angeles at GOOD for issue one. But why limit it to just one center?
Friend-of-the-magazine Lois Beckett (Lois wrote this great story on our last issue) and some of her writer pals are looking for a space in San Francisco to spend Friday night working together on stories remotely for Longshot. She wrote us asking if we knew of anyone else planning to do the same, and we thought it was such a great idea we wanted to throw it open to all of you.
Of course, we don’t want to simply limit it to San Francisco. Hopefully, there may be a few of you out there in other cities that might like to get together as well. If you’re in a big city like New York, San Francisco, DC or Chicago (or for that matter London, Sydney, Copenhagen, Bangkok, Berlin or Lagos) you may want to consider starting a Longshot remote office with some of your fellow writers, artists, photographers or wheelwrights. (And, when we get stories with relevant art, it makes it much easier to place them in the magazine.) It’s also just a great way to meet new people.
So.
If you’ve got a space people can use, or want to get together in a city somewhere, please leave a note in the comments and we’ll update this post to help you try to self-organize.

I got an apartment near several coffeeshops in Austin, any one of which are potentially open to fellow longshotters (longershots?)!

Keeping the started-in-a-garage mystique going by setting up a remote office for @longshotmag in my garage. More details as they develop…
